Wander in the woodlot

Alec Leighton (1908-2007) was a keen observer of the people and culture of Digby County, Nova Scotia, starting from a teenage adventure as part of a travelling magic show. His son, Ted, has brought his keen eye for character and detail to his two novels centred on Bear River.

Now Ted has curated his father's writings, and added material of his own (fiction, non-fiction, and even a short play) to create his new book, People of Cove and Woodlot: Stories across 100 years of memories.

Ted will officially launch the book at the Honky Tonk Country Dance at the Bear River Legion on March 1 between 6 and 7 pm, but it is also available in Moose House's online catalogue: https://www.moosehousepress.com/product-page/people-of-cove-and-woodlot.
