Vernon Oickle let us know of an impressive event: "Nancy and I had a great visit to the Nova Scotia Legislature February 27. I was invited by Queens MLA, Kim Masland ,and was recognized for my writing career. I also had the opportunity to present Premier Tim Houston with a copy of Grandma’s Home Remedies.
"The Premier made a contribution to the book, that was released last fall. Thanks, Kim, for an interesting and exciting day."
Vernon has published more books than many of us have had hot suppers. His most recent release with Moose House was the revised edition of an instalment in his 'Crows' series, Five Crows Silver.
The newest book in that series, Nine Crows for a Kiss, is in the editing process right now and will release in May, 2025.
Later in the year, Moose House will release The View from Here, a selection of the best of Vernon's essays from his decades of writing for South Shore newspapers.
